Why buy VisualMILL for SolidWorks®?
You’ve read the information, heard the sales hype, and probably have a few too many “lingo” words etched into memory. We hope to make it simple: we offer the same intuitive, single-window seamless feature that many of our competitors do with their integrated products for SolidWorks®, and we also can do custom development for your needs, but we also offer VisualMILL for SolidWorks® to you with two (2) main differentiating factors:
Affordable for all users
This is the key differentiator between VisualMILL for SolidWorks® and other “Solid-x” or “y-CAM” named companies. We don’t believe SolidWorks® users should have to pay more for their CAM Software than the price of their main design tool. In fact, let’s take a look at a few of those (in)famous sales/marketing type phrases our competition have undoubtedly attempted to throw at you in order to confuse you from what is, really, a very simple decision.
Cost of purchase
This is the cost of the software at the time of initial purchase. Many companies will attempt to pass over this cost and justify their expensive software by using Cost of Ownership and Return on Investment (listed below). The truth is, VisualMILL for SolidWorks® prices range between $999 and $3,999 (U.S.), giving it the lowest cost of purchase for any integrated CAM software solution for SolidWorks® on the market.
MecSoft doesn’t believe it is our business to tell you how to run your business. We are compelled to explain that VisualMILL for SolidWorks® has no subscription/maintenance fee for the first year and only a nominal $199-$399 (U.S.) fee the following years. This is FAR lower than what you’ll be paying for those other high priced integrated CAM programs. If they start with high cost of purchase, and add expensive support and maintenance/subscription packages, and you still may pay as much annually to maintain these packages as you will to buy new seats of VisualMILL for SolidWorks®.
If you add our small fees to the lowest price integrated CAM software on the market, it is easy to see VisualMILL for SolidWorks® also has the lowest cost of ownership!

Cost of Ownership
Cost of ownership is how much the software costs over a period of time. This is a justification method for those companies who try and convince you that the $8,000-15,000 you are going to spend with them at the initial purchase, in addition to the support, subscription, and/or maintenance costs are not only “economically viable” for your company, but REQUIRED for you to keep up with your competition!

Return on Investment (ROI)
This is the age old sales method used traditionally by high priced products that attempt to justify taking YOUR hard earned money. ROI provides a detailed, and sometimes exhausting, accounting methodology used to overwhelm you into realizing you can’t live without their high priced software. We at MecSoft simply want to point out, in the vast majority of situations; our software has similar or better functionality than our competition, costs a fraction of what their software costs, and simply shows a much faster ROI than anyone else on the market. Let’s face it, if you only pay $999 for easy-to-use, powerful, and integrated CAM software such as VisualMILL for SolidWorks®, your ROI may only take weeks!

Based in the good ole U.S. of A
Yes, it is true. We were founded right here in Southern California, and to this day base our operations out of our headquarters here in Irvine, California. Obviously, that means that those in the U.S. have the ability to speak to a live technical support engineer who may even be the one training you should you elect to visit our headquarters for one of our training classes. We are local to you in the U.S. and thus MUST provide good customer service that others may not focus on – because they are located in Europe, the Middle East, or even in Asia.
Internationally, we do use a select group of channel partners who understand the CAM industry, and can also sell, train, and support on our products. We are very selective on who we partner with, and invite any qualified CAM experts around the world to contact us about partnering in their region.
